GOVT TO FILE SLP IN SUPREME COURT IN GUEST TEACHERS CASE | GUEST TEACHERS CASE HARYANA

After setting deadline of March 31st  to remove guest teachers from their respective posts by Punjab and Haryana High Court, Government of Haryana is left with no other option than to file a SLP (Special leave Petition) in Honorable Supreme court of India with a pray to extend the tenure of guest teachers until new recruitment for teachers is over. As per a media report govt can file such a petition by Monday or Tuesday. Most probably court will grant such extension as without guest teachers it will be very difficult to run schools, because some schools are totally depending on services of guest teachers. But this move will ease problem for guest teachers only for a limited time. After expiry of such extension they will again arrive on a situation which they are currently facing. Permanent solution to their problem through courts seems difficult as supreme court already have given a verdict against guest teachers in another case. Now strength of guest teachers in around 15000. After completion of recruitment process, many of their colleagues  may be absorbed through regular recruitment. With limited strength at that time it will be difficult for them to press for their demand through agitations etc. It is now up to the govt  to take some concrete steps so that there could be any permanent solution to guest teachers problem.
